Damn whoever the guy is thats making this show/manga he is a genius. To think they tilted the bog is crazy, but Kaijis plan was even more crazy.
But cant Ichijou revert it again with the -7/-7/-7 setting?

They still havent explained why Kaiji needed extra workers from Enoud since everythig up until now couldve been done by Kaiji, Endou and Sakazaki.

If they lowered the setting it would make it easier for Kaiji to win. The only reason Kaiji didnt win with the first ball was because the setting was high to begin. Think of it as a hill. Kaiji can only approach the hill from the front. If Ichijou lowered the setting it would only lower the steepness the ball would have to climb.

I were never good in physics so I wasnt really sure about that ^^

Is anyone else having trouble playing these .mkv? The newer episodes don't load on WMP or VLC. I have to use DivX player but even then it's still buggy.

Try CCCP codec with VLC. If your getting choppy playback then that means its down to your computer specs. To overcome that I recommend uninstalling all codecs and players apart from WMP and using Media Player Classic with CoreAVC for .h264.

CoreAVC is a premium codec and you have to pay for it but its cause it makes even the most uber graphics anime clear to play and see.

On the other hand he wouldn't pass first and second plates. Also, come to think of it, shouldn't the floor they lined water containers on break due to weight? I mean, what kind of floor(considering there's a room below it) can hold 20 tons on it? Well, skipping all the details, I can say he'll win this one. I know and if I didn't - he'd lose all chances if he loses here, so the anime would end with that. And there's still a mahjong game left(Kaiji more and more resembles Akagi it seems).

Im not so sure about that. The ingenious thing about the reverse trajectory is that it throws common sense out the window. It wouldnt be as simple as just lowering the setting. Ichijou himself commented that the first two plates should be easy to pass through whether it was on a high setting or not. Simply because there is no raised curved on the holes on the first two plates. Kaiji deliberately rigged the game so that it would harder for him to get through the first two plates but with the benefit that he would be able to approach the the third plate from the front and not behind where there is a bump.

Kaiji himself said if thing stay the way they are out of 5000 balls only 6-7 will get through. Even Sakazaki had more balls getting to the third plate but with disadvantage that none will ever through the third hole. At this point the only thing saving Ichijou is the high setting. At this point Im willing to believe if everybody thinks lowering the setting will change solve his problems, that is probably the last and final bait Kaiji is waiting for.

Lastly, a building doesnt crumbles overnight, it takes years of damge. Even saying that, the casino has multiple floors so im sure there spread the water boxes on the same side of building but in different rooms and floors.

I can see why Ichijou is so desperate. All those gross things he had to do for the old man.

As for Hyondou, I swear he was never this gross and perverted in the first season. I cant even stand to look at him in the anime. He is disgusting. His idea of building an underground empire is just madness and delusional.

Well, im slightly annoyed with this episode because it dragged things out unneccesarily. Although I do get the sense that this is literally life or death for both of them. Whoever wins or loses from this might at well commit suicide after because there will be no future for them.

However, with 200 balls left, I think its over for Kaiji.

well this episode was almost completely about Ichijou's perspective and his ambitious past since he joined Teiai after all, also here Hyoudo explains with more detail his definition of being rich and why his underground empire is being build

and yes, it looks like Kaiji will lose this time but that's the beauty of the series, you can't really tell what twists will happen next, just like the previous season we though he would lose against Tonegawa in the deadly E-card game or win against Hyoudo with his own "flawless" lottery strategy... looks like the climax comes next episode, I predict Ichijou's employees finally find his mysterious trump card to definitively beat Kaiji but somehow it'll backfire against them, later regretting they used it as that caused Kaiji to win the jackpot, but we will see what happens

wow the beavis and butthead sega game
biggrin.gif
, i remember that and Toejam & Earl were some of the most memorable sega games i had, ofcourse there were the classics (MK sonic and all the rest as well as golden axe), but i think it was Toejam & Earl as well as the beavis and butthead one that made it for me the most, they were the games that made me think console games werent only about 1 player games, and the reason i even considered buying n64 and gamecube despite having the weird inovation of all those games meant for 4 players. It was so worth it. I just wished i had 3 ppl to play games like Tales of series, i only have 1 guy who likes rpgs and we played baldur's gate alliance etc at most xD, luckly all my friends like mario party etc (smash bros too) or buying those consoles would have been a waste.

Anyhow back in topic, why the hell are we accepting the nutbladder releases that have such a bad raw quality when the underwatter subs come out shortly after? D:

I keep seeing these rainbow artifacts like its ripped from a dishwashed dvd or something

I remember playing all those good old games, ah memories... hehe didn't expect to turn this Kaiji thread in videogames talk after posting beavisaki and endohead pics but hey, if the series was about fatal card games, human derbys of death and now a millionaire pachinko (a kind of pinball) why not psychological videogames after the mahjong arc next season (and no, I'm not spoiling myself reading the manga further than the anime goes but I know after the pachinko arc there is an Akagi-like mahjong game) ?

...about the fansubs well, there is people who doesn't want to wait (like me) and the image quality doesn't matter that much, the characters look "ugly" anyway

yhea i dont want to wait either but i still would like to know where the hell nutbladder gets these horrible raws from lulz

My guess is kaji is going to win, and the season will be over. Next season I bet the old man will finish his underground casino, and Kaji will be cordially invited to play new gambling games underground.

just watched ep 21 and, as franzoir though, it was over for him and his 50 million yen until he borrows the last 10 mill saved by Endo, who was convinced by Kaiji just after he signed a document he didn't bother to read and goes back to challenge the Bog again... Ichijou doesn't want to take more risks and stops Kaiji to make time until his men finally find the secret remote that will decide the victory

as well I predict Kaiji will win but I still don't trust Endo and his antics, I fear that extra 10 million and the paper Kaiji signed will cost him almost all the jackpot and Endou will take most of it for himself... anyway if there is a next season it'll be released until the manga ends and it'll be about the mahjong arc

I too thought that and the disappearance of Sakazaki is suspect as well.

Well this episode was emotional. I dont blame Endoh for crying, if it was me I probably would of had a heart attack. The thought of going back to the underground you might as well just commit suicide. You might as well kill yourself.

Ichijou turned into a proper asshole when he thought he had won.

As for the Kaiji 2 film advert at the beginning, I dont know why but it just made me laugh.

damn what a twist (literally and metaphorically speaking), I never though the double tilt of the building and the machine could clog the ball disposing tube, so that's Kaiji's last ray of hope: after looking at the exit of the tube that there wasn't any balls coming out he realized the holes of the first and second trays would fill while time passed and then the balls can fall directly into the winner holes making their way to the third tray

the only obstacle left is the twisted third tray now that Ichijo is tilting the machine to the opposite direction to fix the clog and take out all the balls filling the tube but the tilt takes about 3 minutes to max it, that's the only chance Kaiji will have to keep trying until he wins

hahaha loved the magic trick of Kaiji, I wonder what's the miscalculation he's talking about at the cliffhanger... "Welcome back scum!" best intro ever

It's interesting to see it all play out, but it's getting really old fast. It's like a DBZ fight that was only a 10 minute fight and lasted 20 episodes. This constant stress and suspense has a numbing effect since I've seen it done over and over again throughout this season. Last season was full of different gamblings and had really good character development. This one is lackluster with only one game, and they're trying to make that game play out all season.

well I agree is getting tiresome how extended the Bog arc is... come on, what were they thinking with the whole 14th ep as a recap of 1 to 13?? (no wonder why isn't subbed yet), there wasn't any in the first season, instead they could make a short recap like the opening of the first episode of S2... but the truth is I still enjoy its suspense, the characters' reactions, the plot twists and the narration plays a great role in this series, I mean compared to DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Detective Conan, the old Captain Tsubasa's eternal matches and other series with boring fillers Kaiji is following the manga more closely without any need of fillers

well Kaiji just realized the fatal flaw of his elaborated plan, the location of the water containers was wrong as it tilted the building not only forward but to the left, twisting the third tray and stray the balls away of the jackpot hole but suddenly the third tray gets clogged just like the other two thanks to Ichijou's opposite tilting of the machine, now it'a a matter of time and quantity of balls left to win... anyway the so-awaited climax is at hand and this season is about to finish, not sure if it's 24, 25 or 26 eps this time but I'm looking forward to the end and how much the live action plot will difer from the manga and anime, the first movie was good taking in consideration the reduced film time and the addition of a leading actress as a female Endou (who I think isn't going to return in the second movie, instead it'll be Tonegawa)
blink.gif

Damn Ichijou really had a nasty trick up his sleeves. And it really looks like Kaiji will loose since he has no balls left. Except maybe someone else will give him money, but I doubt it. But Sakazaki left, maybe he wil return with money or maybe he is doing something else that will help Kaiji.

QUOTE (Killer_Ossi @ Sep 18 2011, 11:24 AM) But Sakazaki left, maybe he wil return with money or maybe he is doing something else that will help Kaiji.
hehe your guess is right, Sakazaki is back in the most crucial moment with 20 million (from the safe he took money before) for the last 1000 paqy card... so all the balls fill the third tray, forcing the air barrier to get through the winning hole and finally hit the jackpot after 16 episodes since the Bog arc started in ep 9, now Kaiji is officially the 3rd meister xD

at last is over: Endo, Sakazaki and obviously Kaiji are overjoyed, it's like they won the lottery after all their effort, despair and tears they shed in beating the bog... Ichijo is busted and Hyodo is really pissed, ordering his men to go after Kaiji so it looks like this isn't the last ep of season 2, I think the 26th will be an epilogue with the three winners celebrating, the 45ers are free from their debts, Sakazaki restarts a new life and Endo takes most of the jackpot thanks to the contract Kaiji signed, who is left with a few bucks as always and Mikoko may have her screentime out of the ending
